Want to know what the MyTutor Freelance team is and what they do? We have put together these top questions to answer that for you.
Who are they?
Our freelancers are some of our longest-serving and best-performing tutors. As well as having completed a high number of lessons on the platform.
They also have stellar reviews, great lesson attendance and punctuality, quick message response times and excelled in the interview process.
What do they do?
Our freelancer teams play an essential role in maintaining quality and ensuring tutors have the best chance of success.
We currently have four main areas our freelancers operate in. These are:
Lesson Observation - helping schools tutors to deliver better lessons
Disintermediation - preventing parents and tutors from going off-platform
Free Meeting Feedback - helping private tutors turn more free meetings into paying customers
Interviewing - ensuring only the best tutors can join MyTutor
1 Lesson Observation:
We already have a page dedicated to our Lesson Observation team which you can read here.
2 Disintermediation:
Our freelancers review hundreds of Free Meetings and private lessons every week.
The freelancers ensure that our policies are upheld by reviewing flagged Free Meetings, messages or lessons for potential breaches of our disintermediation policy. If a breach is identified, they report it to our internal team, who will follow up to resolve the issue. Find out more about how we spot Free Meetings or lessons for potential breaches and what actions we take here.
3 Free Meeting Feedback:
To help you improve, the freelancers review a selection of Free Meetings that didn’t convert into bookings. Using a structured feedback process, they evaluate key areas of the meeting and provide practical suggestions to help you make the most of your next Free Meeting opportunity.
Our feedback framework is based on best practices from top-performing tutors, giving you actionable insights to increase your chances of success.
4 Interviewing:
Our interviewing freelancers work behind the scenes to review tutor applications quickly and thoroughly. They’re trained to assess interview submissions against a clear marking framework to ensure a fair and consistent process.
Once they’ve reviewed your responses, they submit their evaluation, which determines the outcome of your application.
By relying on a team of dedicated, trained freelancers, we can ensure high-quality support across all stages of your journey as a tutor.
How do I become a Tutor Freelancer?
To become a Tutor Freelancer, we assess our current best-performing active tutors when additional support is needed. We then contact them via email, inviting them to undergo an interview where they can showcase their skills and explain why they believe they would be a good fit for the role. This process helps ensure that we select qualified tutors who meet our high standards.
However, if any of these roles sound appealing to you and you’d like to register your interest, you can do so by filling out this form here.
