How do parents contact me directly?
Parents may contact you directly through your messages if they are interested in booking lessons.
Keep an eye on your messages and reply as soon as you can. Tutors who respond to messages within 6 hours are 20% more likely to book lessons. When replying, make sure your response in friendly and personalised to help you stand out
What are Tutor Requests?
Tutor Requests are messages from parents that our Support team sends to multiple tutors at once. They help parents find tutors who match what they are looking for.
You’ll find Tutor Requests in the Requests tab. To respond, open the request and start a conversation with the parent. Personalising your response can help you stand out from other tutors.
What are Free Meetings?
Free Meetings are free 15-minute video chats that allow you and the parent or student to get to know each other before booking lessons.
You can use this time to introduce yourself, talk about your tutoring experience and check whether you are the right tutor for each other.
Free Meetings automatically end after 15 minutes.
Our Support team may send you Free Meeting requests, which you can accept or decline. The meeting time has already been agreed with the parent, so it cannot be rescheduled.
How do I book a Free Meeting?
To book a Free Meeting:
Go to your Messages with the parent.
Click Suggest a Booking.
Select Free Meeting from the drop-down menu.
If you and the parent decide to continue working together, you can book your first private lesson.
