What are customer reviews?
Customer reviews allow parents and students to share honest feedback about their experience with you, including your teaching, professionalism and conduct.
Parents often read reviews before booking a free meeting or lessons, so building a strong collection of reviews can help future customers learn more about you.
If you've delivered a lesson that went well, it's worth asking parents or students to leave you a review.
We also recommend responding to reviews where appropriate. Thoughtful replies show future customers that you're engaged, professional and open to feedback.
When can customers leave a review?
Parents and students can leave:
A lesson review – up to one month after a lesson has taken place.
A general profile review – directly on your profile page.
How do I respond to a review?
Whether you've received positive or constructive feedback, responding professionally can help reassure future customers.
For positive reviews, a simple thank you shows your appreciation.
If you've received constructive feedback, take the opportunity to acknowledge it and respond respectfully with your perspective.
If you'd like advice on writing a response, or you believe a review is unfair, contact our Support team via Live Chat.
You can also ask other tutors in the Tutor Community how they've handled similar situations.

the lesson has been refunded
the parent or student asks us to remove it
you've agreed with the parent or student to remove it after discussing the review through MyTutor messages
it was left more than one month after your last lesson together

it relates to a MyTutor policy that you correctly followed or a situation where tutor discretion applied
We won't remove a review simply because you're disappointed with the rating or feedback.
How long does a review investigation take?
If you ask us to investigate a review, we'll look into the circumstances before making a decision.
Please allow at least one week for us to provide an outcome. More complex cases may take longer, but we'll keep you updated throughout the investigation.
