The Department for Education requires tutors to have a valid DBS check every 36 months to continue tutoring school pupils.

How do I sign up to the DBS Update Service?
Once you've received your DBS certificate, register for the DBS Update Service on the government website and enter your certificate number here when prompted. You'll then need to pay the annual subscription fee.
You must register within 30 days of your DBS certificate being issued. After this deadline, you can't join the DBS Update Service using that certificate and would need to apply for a new DBS check instead.
