How do I book an online lesson?
How do I book an online lesson?

I’m a Parent article! See how you can book your lessons through your account.

Updated over 5 months ago

Once you’ve found the right tutor for you, you can book in your first lesson together!

You just need to

  • Discuss timings with your tutor

  • Go into your Messages, and click on the tutor who you want to book with.

  • Click ‘Book lessons’, fill in the information, and wait for your tutor to confirm.

  • Your tutor may also suggest lesson times, you just need to accept these by clicking ‘Book now’.

Once the lesson has been accepted, just go to your upcoming bookings to check it’s all gone through. Each lesson has a status:

  • Awaiting Payment - the booking has been accepted, but payment details haven’t been added just yet.

  • Payment Scheduled - the booking has been accepted, but not yet paid for. Payment should be taken 24 hours before the lesson will start.

  • Confirmed - the booking has been accepted and paid for. Only confirmed lessons can be launched.

Lessons are 1 hour. Broken down, this looks like

  • 55 minutes of teaching time.

  • 5 minutes for your tutor to provide feedback, write session notes, or provide you with a lesson report.

What if I want to book a one-off lesson?

You can book a one-off additional lesson to supplement your regular bookings with your tutor. You need to have a regular booking in place with a tutor to be offered this option, and when you go to book a lesson as usual, there you'll also see the option to book a one-off lesson.

This is handy for if you need an extra session to boost the student's regular lessons in between your regular sessions, or to book a single session if one of theirs has been cancelled.
