MyTutor tutors can't deliver lessons from outside the UK, even for a short period such as a holiday. This policy forms part of the Terms & Conditions you agree to when tutoring with MyTutor.
Why can't I tutor from abroad?
Tutors can't work from abroad because it creates tax and compliance risks for MyTutor. Working from another country could create a tax presence there, which may result in legal or tax obligations for the company.
Our tutoring platform is also designed to be used from within the UK. Accessing it from an international IP address can affect platform performance and the experience for pupils and parents.
What happens if I tutor from abroad?
We have processes in place to identify when tutors work from outside the UK. Where possible, we'll provide guidance to help you comply with this policy.
However, repeated or serious breaches may result in your account being suspended or closed, in line with our Code of Conduct.
Can I tutor while I'm on holiday abroad?
You can't deliver MyTutor lessons while you're abroad, even if you're only travelling for a short period.
If you're going abroad, please reschedule your lessons before you travel and enjoy your holiday.
What if I'm already living abroad?
If you're currently living abroad, please pause your lessons until you return to the UK.
