How to prepare for your interview recordings?

I'm a Tutor article! Here’s everything you need to know before recording your interview videos!

Here are some key steps to help you prepare for your recordings 👇

First of all, make sure you have your documents ready. Part of your interview will involve a digital ID check with a passport (if you’re a UK or Irish citizen) or share code (if you’re not). You’ll also need to show another form of photo ID. A provisional or driving licence is best, but you can also use another form of photo ID.

You’ll need to use a smartphone for the digital ID check.

  • Don’t worry about being perfect - interviews and recordings can be nerve-wracking but we just want to find out more about you, so don’t worry if you stumble on your words. The team reviewing your answers are tutors themselves, so they know how you feel!

  • Get ready for the Q&A - choose from our list of questions and prepare how you’d teach it to a pupil in a lesson.

    • We want to see your subject knowledge in practice in the recordings and how you'd support GCSE and A-Level pupils with similar questions too

  • Have a valid form of ID ready - we’ll need to see a valid passport or driving licence in the recordings for some verification.

  • Explore Willo - we have all the information you need on the Willo page, including a helpful video explaining what to expect.

    • Make sure to watch, read and explore to get you ready for your recordings
