Everything you need to know about Study Plan Consultations (SPCs) including what customers expect and advice on how to structure them.

What is a Study Plan Consultation (SPCs)?

Before committing to 3-6 months' worth of lessons, customers can have a Study Plan Consultation with two different tutors.

It’s pretty much the same as the free, 15-minute meetings you’ll be used to.

So why is it called something different?

We’re asking customers to make an upfront payment, so it’s important they’re sure that tutoring will get them the results they’re after.

A Study Plan Consultation makes it clear that they’ll walk away with a long-term plan of action.

How to get the best out of a Study Plan Consultations (SPCs)?

The most successful meetings and consultations tend to follow a winning formula. You ask what the customer wants to achieve, and recommend a tailored plan to help them visualise how you can get there together.

Here’s a simple framework you can follow to achieve this in 15 minutes:

  1. What's your main goal right now?

  2. What are your long-term goals?

  3. What are you finding most difficult?

Follow those questions up with: And here’s how I’d plan to help you…

So far we’ve found that this rename increases the likelihood of customers showing up and booking lessons, so you’re more likely to get paid.
