A lesson can be cancelled any time up to 24 hours before it starts.

Cancellation policy

  • Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will not be refunded. Your tutor will still be paid for last minute cancellations.

  • If your tutor needs to cancel the booking less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, they will not be paid for this booking. Your account will be automatically credited with the full lesson cost once this is cancelled on the platform.

Technical problems

When lessons are affected by technical issues, let us know. Our dedicated team will contact you to find out more.

  • If the lesson is partially affected:

    • An tech issue on your end will not be refunded (and it is at the tutor’s discretion to make up the lost time)

    • An issue on the tutors' end will be compensated by extending a future lesson to make up for the lost time.

    • An issue on MyTutor’s end will be refunded by adding an additional lesson to make up for the lost time

  • If the lesson is not able to go ahead at all:

    • An issue on the students end will not be refunded (and it is at the tutor’s discretion to make up the lost time)

    • An issue on the tutor’s end will be refunded and your account will be automatically credited with the full lesson.

An issue on MyTutor’s end will be refunded by adding an additional lesson to make up for the lost time.
