To work with MyTutor school pupils you’ll need to provide us with a valid enhanced DBS check that:
- Is less than 4 years old
- Is carried out in the UK
- Details DBS Children’s Barred List Information
- This section should state ‘NONE RECORDED’ not ‘NOT REQUESTED’
- You are able to upload a clear image of the entire page.
Please note that we do accept the Scottish 'Enhanced Disclosure' certificate, the Access NI enhanced certificate, valid PVG Scheme Record Certificates and International Child Protection Certificates.
Please note that if you are subscribed to the DBS update service, we will still need to see a copy of the original DBS certificate before we can check your update.
If your DBS check meets the criteria, then please upload your certificate to your profile via the 'School opportunities' tab of your tutor dashboard. If you have any trouble uploading it, please email a copy to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
'I have registered for the DBS Update Service – do I still need to provide my certificate?'
Yes, you will still need to provide us your DBS certificate. Although you will always have an up to date DBS, we are unable to confirm if the original Enhanced Certificate included checks for the Children's Barred List Information through the Update Service. Once you provide us with the original certificate, we can confirm the validity online (using your certificate number).
