The best way to get a refund for a tutorial is to reach out to your tutor. They’re able to refund tutorials that were meant to take place within the last 48 hours. You can reach out to them from your messages.
If it’s been over 48 hours since the tutorial, please reach out to your tutor and check if they’re happy to refund the lesson. Once you’ve spoken to them please fill in the form below and we’d be happy to refund the lesson for you.
We ask that you give tutors 24 hours notice if you need to cancel a tutorial, this way your tutorial will be automatically refunded if it’s already been paid for and your tutorial will be cancelled.
If you need to cancel within 24 hours, the refund will be at the tutors discretion, so please do reach out to them to confirm they are happy to cancel and refund the lesson.
If you’ve reached out to your tutor about a refund and you haven’t received a response please get in touch with our support team and who’d be happy to help. Just let them know the following details:
- Name of your tutor
- Date and time of tutorial
- Reason for requested refund
If you had technical difficulties
If a tutorial can’t go ahead because of technical difficulties on either end, our advice is to check the Tech FAQs for a solution. If you're unable to find a solution to your problem, speak to the MyTutor team on our live chat function which you'll see in the bottom right hand corner of your screen and a member of our team would be more than happy to help!
We recommend you spend approximately 5 minutes trying to solve the technical issue, and if you're unable to solve it, cancel and refund the tutorial and book in a new time. We’re not able to make refunds for technical issues outside of our control so please do get in touch with our tech team as soon as you can so we can help fix the problem before your next tutorial.
