When you’re officially a MyTutor tutor, you’ll mainly be supporting GCSE and A-Level pupils to prepare for their exams. Some of this work might include helping them with exam-style questions, as well as covering the course content they need to answer them.
Your sample Q&A should help you to showcase how you’d help your pupils in your lessons.
Here are a few top tips 👇
Make sure it’s a question in a core subject (Maths, English or Science), and that it’s something a pupil might expect as homework, in a test or in an exam. This is because we’ll want to see your subject knowledge in practice in the interview.
Your interviewer will ask you to run through this Q&A for a few minutes in the interview, so make sure it’s something that will show off your teaching skills.
You don’t need to write an essay in response, just a small paragraph will do the job. You can add more detail when you chat it through with your interviewer, too!
What else do you need to know?
Your example Q&A will appear on your profile once you’re officially a tutor too, and you can upload more than one if you’d like.
