The interview is a chance for you to get to know the platform, and for us to get to know you too. We care about your motivations, your communication and how you explain the things you tutor.
Before the interview, you'll need to prepare a Q&A for us in a core subject (Maths, English or Science), as these are the most popular subjects with our school pupils. You can take a look here for some inspiration.
Then your interviewer (who's a tutor as well!) will let you know how MyTutor works, and you can ask them any questions you may have, too.
A few things to tick off before your interview:
1. Use the right browser
- For Windows PCs, use Chrome.
- For Mac, use Safari
- If you’re using an Android tablet, look here. Or if you're using an iPad, look here.
2. Complete your Q&A
Your interviewer will ask you to teach them your question, so make sure you've uploaded it beforehand
3. Set up the lesson space
To make sure the interview goes as smoothly as possible, you'll need:
- A working webcam
- Headphones with a mic (try not to use Bluetooth or Apple earphones, as these can cause echo)
- A good internet connection
Good luck!
