Tutor requests are one of the ways you can find new students to work with.
Rather than directly messaging a specific tutor, parents post a general request for the subject and level they're looking for support with. We then send this message onto tutors who may be able to help.
You'll be notified about any Requests you've received by email or the app, and you can check these on the Requests section of your account.
As parents will receive a handful of responses, if you think you can help you should aim to explain why you're the best person for the job. Tell the parent a bit about yourself: what experience do you have tutoring the subject / level / syllabus? When would you be available to meet for a Free Meeting?
Sample request
I’ve received a tutor request, why can’t I see it on my account?
We send out Requests on a rolling basis to all eligible tutors. We do this to try to spread work fairly amongst our tutors, and to help parents get a swift response from tutors who can help.
Once a parent has received as many responses as they asked for (usually 3-5 responses), the response closes and you won't be able to see it on your account. In quieter times of the year, Requests get snapped up really quickly, so we recommend responding quickly to avoid missing out.
To help you respond quickly, you can save a draft response (which you can personalise to fit the Request) on your Requests page.
