We take the hassle out of payments by handling them for you through our online payment system. Customers pay for bookings 24 hours before they take place and this payment is collected by MyTutor on behalf of tutors. You’re then paid directly into your bank account twice a month.
All of your completed bookings in a pay round will then be paid in the next payment round, for example, if you completed a lesson on the 14th of the month, you’ll be paid for this tutorial on the 18th.
You’ll also receive an invoice for each tutorial, you can find this in your invoices after you’ve been paid for the tutorial.
If you need to refund any tutorials, please make sure you do this before the payment round. You can refund parents in your previous bookings page by clicking edit on the tutorial you’d like to refund for up to 48 hours after the tutorial took place. If the tutorial was over 48 hours ago, please reach out to us on livechat and we’ll refund this lesson for you.
I’ve completed a booking but haven’t been paid
If you haven’t been paid for a booking, check when payment was due on the payments calendar above. Please note that:
- BACS payments can take up to 3 working days to reach bank accounts
- Where a payment date falls on a non-working day (i.e. a weekend or bank holiday), payment then shifts to the next working day.
If you've completed lessons within the last two weeks and it's been 5 working days since the last payment date, and you still haven’t received payment, please fill in our form.
