Your resume should give prospective students a good sense of who you are and your teaching style. This is your opportunity to share your passion for your subject(s) and for tutoring, and let parents and students know what your lessons might be like. Here are some things you could include in your profile resume:
About you
- What you’re studying at university and what makes you excited about your subject
- Your experience of taking exams at school, revising, and applying to university
- Any tutoring experience you may already have
- Hobbies and interests, or societies you're part of at university
Tutoring style
- How you like to structure your lessons
- How you can help your students improve - whether this be grades or confidence
- What learning techniques or activities you find engaging or useful
- What worked for you when you were preparing for your own exams
Remember, your resume doesn’t need to be too long, there’s no indeed to repeat your qualifications or university details as this is all already on your profile. Please don’t include your phone number, email address, or physical address - all contact with parents and students must be done through the site.
