Once your guardian has created a student account for you, you’ll need to activate it. Student accounts are for joining lessons, viewing lesson recordings and using your study plans.
There are two kinds of student accounts - Student accounts with email addresses, and student accounts with usernames.
Student accounts with email addresses
Your account details will be sent to your email. These include a temporary password, that expires in 7 days.
Make sure you use your temporary password to log in and finish setting up your account within 7 days.
If this password expires, you can get a new one. To get a new temporary password, use the chat button below and our team will be happy to help.
This account will not be activated until you’ve logged in with your temporary password, and chosen a permanent password.
Activating your student account:
Check your email for an email with the subject ‘Activate your MyTutor account’
Copy the temporary password shown
Go to Log in on MyTutor
Log in using your email address and temporary password
You’ll be asked to choose a permanent password, which you’ll use in future
There are a few onboarding questions, which you can answer now or come back to.
You’re all done, and ready to join lessons.
Resetting your password
For student accounts with emails, you can reset the password yourself.
Student accounts with usernames
Your parent/guardian will tell you your temporary password, which they’ve been shown in their account.
Make sure you use your temporary password to log in and finish setting up your account within 7 days.
You'll be prompted to choose a permanent password when you first log in.
If this password expires, your parent/guardian can reset it for you in their account.
This account will not be activated until you’ve logged in with your temporary password, and chosen a permanent password.
Activating your student account:
Go to Log in on MyTutor
Log in using your email address and temporary password
You’ll be asked to choose a permanent password, which you’ll use in future
There are a few onboarding questions, which you can answer now or come back to.
You’re all done, and ready to join lessons.
Resetting your password
For student accounts without emails, the parent account will be shown a temporary password you can use with your username.
In the parent account, a student password can be reset (once the student account set up has been completed).
