What does the MyTutor Freelance Team do?
The MyTutor Freelance Team helps maintain quality and supports tutors across different parts of their journey with MyTutor.
There are currently four main areas where freelancers work:
Lesson Observation
Disintermediation
Free Meeting Feedback
Interviewing
What does the Lesson Observation team do?
The Lesson Observation team reviews selected school lesson recordings and provides feedback to help school tutors improve their teaching.
What does the Disintermediation team do?
MyTutor Freelancers review hundreds of Free Meetings and private lessons every week.
They review flagged Free Meetings, messages and lessons for potential breaches of MyTutor's disintermediation policy.
If a freelancer identifies a potential breach, they report it to the MyTutor internal team. The internal team will then follow up and take the appropriate action.
What does the Free Meeting Feedback team do?
The Free Meeting Feedback team helps private tutors improve their Free Meetings.
Freelancers review a selection of Free Meetings that did not result in a booking.
They use a structured feedback process to assess key areas of the meeting and provide practical suggestions to help you make the most of your next Free Meeting opportunity.
The feedback framework is based on best practices from top-performing tutors. It provides actionable insights to help increase your chances of turning Free Meetings into paid bookings.
What does the Interviewing team do?
Interviewing Freelancers work behind the scenes to review tutor applications quickly and thoroughly.
They are trained to assess interview submissions against a clear marking framework. This helps ensure that the interview process is fair and consistent.
Once a freelancer has reviewed your interview responses, they submit their evaluation. This evaluation determines the outcome of your tutor application.
