How do I cancel a tutoring plan with a customer?
To cancel a plan, go to the ‘Tutoring Contracts’ page, select the plan you wish to cancel, and click "Cancel plan". Please reach out to the customer via messages to let them know as soon as you can. Our team will then be able to help them find a replacement tutor.
What is the notice period for cancelling a plan?
Tutors must provide a 14-day notice when ending a subscription with a customer, as outlined in our terms and conditions. This allows the customer time to find a new tutor if they wish to, without missing lessons in the meantime.
What happens if I cancel after lessons have already been booked?
If you cancel after lessons have been ‘ confirmed’, or ‘completed’, you are expected to fulfil the next 14 days of the contract. The cancellation date will be set for 14 days from your request, and your plan will remain ‘active’ during this time. You'll need to continue delivering lessons until the cancellation date.
What if I cancel before any lessons have been booked?
If you cancel before any lessons have been confirmed, the cancellation status will change immediately, and you won’t need to fulfil any part of the contract. We will notify the customer, process any necessary refunds, and assist them in finding a new tutor.
What happens during the 14-day notice period?
During the notice period, we will reach out to the customer to help them find a new tutor. We also ask that tutors reach out to the parent via messages as soon as they request to cancel a subscription.
