How do I change my availability?
Part of our mission at MyTutor is to become the best job on campus. And that means bringing you work opportunities that fit into your timetable. So, we give you complete control over the hours you work and tools to let others know what times work for you.
When you apply for opportunities, potential customers will check the availability shown on your profile. So if you’re looking for more work, it’s vital that you keep it up-to-date.
Top tip: Set a weekly reminder on your phone so you don’t forget!
How to update your availability:
Log in to your MyTutor Memberships account
Click on “Availability” on the left-hand side
Tick the hour slots you’re generally available for Study Plan Consultations and lessons. And if you can’t make certain days or times, leave them blank
You might see opportunities for times that you’ve listed you’re not available for. If so, just decline the opportunity. We’ll show it to you in case you want to flex your schedule to accommodate the customer.
But you won’t have to worry about double bookings. When requesting study plan consultations and lessons, customers won’t be able to select any times that you have school lessons, free meetings or private recurring bookings scheduled in our current platform (www.mytutor.co.uk).
How do I edit my profile?
Your profile gives customers a first impression of you, and they check every detail. So if you’re looking for more work, we recommend that you keep it up-to-date.
To edit your profile:
Log in to your MyTutor Memberships account
Hover over your avatar in the top-left corner
Click on “Profile”
On your profile, you can adjust your “about me” section. Click here to find out what two of our top tutors recommend you include.

How do I change my tutoring fee?
As you’re self-employed for private lessons, you decide your tutoring fee. You can choose from 3 bands. You can read more about the options, and how to pick one, here.
To change how much you charge:
Log in to your MyTutor Memberships account
Hover over your avatar in the top-left corner
Click on “Income and Pricing”
Please note, any changes will only apply to future bookings; when an existing customer buys a new plan after completing their current one, or when you get a new customer.
