If your school pupil's name is crossed out on your Bookings page, it usually means the teacher has marked the pupil as absent because they have not been able to reschedule the lesson.
Should I still attend the lesson?
Yes. Unless you receive an email from MyTutor telling you not to attend, you should still join the lesson to remain eligible for payment.
Why do I still need to attend?
Sometimes teachers mark school pupils as absent in advance, but the pupil may still attend the lesson. If you are teaching a 3:1 lesson, the other school pupils may also still join.
If the school later confirms that the pupil definitely will not attend, we will email you to let you know that you do not need to attend the lesson.
What happens if I receive an email telling me not to attend?
If you receive an email from MyTutor confirming that you do not need to attend the lesson, you do not need to join and you will still be paid for your time.
What happens if I do not receive an email from MyTutor?
If you do not receive an email from MyTutor, you should still attend the lesson.
If your school pupil does not join within the first 30 minutes, you can leave the lesson.
You will be paid for 30 minutes of your time in line with our attendance policy.
You may also receive an in-lesson cover opportunity and have the chance to earn an extra £10.
