It’s easy to get started on MyTutor with Memberships 😊 You just need to set up an account and then let us know more about the student and what they’re looking to study.

Once you fill in the extra information on what your student is looking to study you will be able to send out your first tutor request! You can see this request sitting in the Find a tutor section.

Once a tutor has replied you will see the request card have a note saying Matches ready, and the request will have a View tutors button appear. Once you click the button you can see the tutors who have replied and view their profile so you can choose your perfect match.

Each plan follows a unique learning journey that’s tailored to the student’s strengths and weaknesses. From the first free Study Plan Consultation with a tutor to the final stages of exam prep, the support starts and ends with the student’s individual needs.

Every plan revolves around regular, hour-long 1:1 tutoring sessions with a single tutor who’s selected to bring out the best in their student. Every family chooses the best tutor for them from a handpicked shortlist, meeting potential tutors for free before starting. And if the tutor ever needs to be changed, we’ll find a new match quickly to avoid any interruptions.

We’re very picky about who can tutor with us: only 1 in every 8 applicants makes it through our process. That’s because we’re not just looking for people who can teach a subject. We’re looking for people who can do so in an engaging way – and who school students will relate to. Our tutors combine a passion for their subject with an online learning environment that makes every lesson interactive, hands-on, and enjoyable.

Membership plans allow complete flexibility for when lessons take place, last from 3-6 months, and can be extended as desired.

Once you’ve met your tutor and are happy with your Study Plan Consultation results, you can choose a tutoring plan and get started with lessons! 🚀

To do so, click on ‘Select a tutoring plan’ from your tutor’s profile. You’ll be shown the different plans your tutor offers - you just need to choose the right one for you and your learner’s needs.After selecting a plan, you’ll be shown more details - including dates, cadence of lessons, price breakdown, and some more handy information about how tutoring plans work on MyTutor. Click on ‘Start plan’ to take you to the checkout where you can add payment details and then ‘Subscribe’ to complete your purchase.Now your tutoring plan has been purchased, you just need to click the ‘Book lessons’ button to schedule your available lessons. You can keep a track of your remaining lessons balance from your account.

We’ll let you know once your tutor matches are ready via email. From your parent account, you’ll be able to view tutor profiles to learn more about them and their availability. You can arrange a Study Plan Consultation to get free tips about reaching your goals and ensure you choose the best tutor match for your lessons.

Once you have chosen a tutor, you can then decide on a plan which suits you. Once your lessons have been bought, you just click on the ‘Book Lessons’ button to schedule a tutoring session with your tutor.

☝️Make sure to create a student profile before the lesson, as all the learning happens in the student account. Once you’ve done this, be sure to switch over to your parent account to book the lessons.
