Why do I need to renew my DBS check?
The Department for Education requires tutors delivering lessons through the Schools Programme to have a valid Enhanced DBS check that is less than 36 months old.
If your DBS check is due to expire, you will stop seeing new school opportunities once it is within 30 days of expiry.
Once your new DBS check has been approved, you'll regain access to school opportunities.
How much does it cost to renew my DBS check?
Before we can start your DBS application, you’ll need to pay the DBS fee upfront.
The total cost is £49.50.

When making your payment, please use your Tutor ID as the payment reference; without it, we may not be able to match your payment.

After you receive your certificate, you'll need to upload it to your MyTutor account so our team can review and approve it.
What if I haven't received my DBS certificate?
If your DBS application has been completed but your certificate hasn't arrived, first check that the delivery address you provided is correct.
If your certificate still hasn't arrived, contact Verifile, our DBS provider, for an update.
If you believe your certificate has been lost in the post or sent to the wrong address, you can also contact the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) directly.
You can check the status of your certificate or request a replacement using the DBS Certificate Reprint Guide.
Please read the Disclosure and Barring Service terms and
